Privacy Policy

We collect only what we need to prepare your Student Loan Strategy Report, and we never sell your information.
What we collect
- Contact and purchase details: name, email, the package you bought, and payment confirmation from Stripe. We never see or store your card number.
- Questionnaire answers: household, income, tax filing, employment and goals.
- Documents you upload: your Student Aid Data file and, optionally, tax returns or servicer statements. These can include loan, income and contact details.
- Free check (quiz) answers and email if you use it, and basic analytics (pages viewed, campaign source).
We never ask for your FSA ID, passwords or bank details. Please black out Social Security and account numbers before uploading.
How we use it
To prepare, review and deliver your Report and Session; to send transactional emails (your secure link, reminders, delivery); to answer your questions; to keep records required by law; and, if you subscribe, to send plain-English updates (unsubscribe any time).
Who processes it for us
- Stripe — payments.
- Railway — hosting and database.
- Resend — email delivery.
- Calendly — session scheduling (name and email).
- Anthropic (Claude) — drafting narrative text in the Report. We send loan and income figures needed for the explanation, never your name, email, phone or documents. Under Anthropic’s commercial API terms, this data is not used to train its models.
How we protect it
Connections are encrypted (HTTPS). Uploaded documents are encrypted at rest. Only Renée’s team can access client files, using two-factor sign-in, and access is logged. See our Security page.
How long we keep it
Uploaded documents are deleted 90 days after your Report is delivered. We keep your Report, questionnaire answers and purchase records for up to 7 years for tax, legal and quality purposes, then delete them. You can ask us to delete your information sooner, unless we’re required to keep it.
Your choices and rights
You can ask to access, correct or delete your information, or opt out of marketing emails, by writing to renee@studentloancoach.com. Depending on your state, you may have additional privacy rights; we honor them. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, other than standard analytics and ad-measurement tags on our marketing pages.
If something goes wrong
If we learn of a security incident affecting your information, we will notify you and the appropriate authorities as required by law.
